video
this guy wrote a book called the "geography of nowhere".
"we [america] don't give a fuck"

i was introduced to Jame Howard Kunstler in my Urban Sociology course.  he's about sustainable urbanism and how america has done it all wrong since wwii.

we live in ugly cartoon habitats.  gross.

things i like lately:
new cds: marissa nadler, nedelle, the dirty projectors, and june madrona
80's night
rocky's open mic
the riley family
sleeping in my attic
delivering the SPOON newsletter on my bike

magical g-rad

friends, we live in a magical city sometimes.
this was a good night:
pjb played.

we ate bananas and pizza

June Madrona, from Olympia, WA, played lovely music on the banks of our Grand River.

They played as the sun was setting.

George screened Rushmore in Canal park and we drank cups of arbor mist.

Carolyn was there in spirit.
i don't know how to make these pictures visible go to my flickr:

sinking

I'm trying to not sink.  i appear to have a lot of energy but i crash regularly.  I'm learning how to get by without self-disclosing to anyone except my journal.  over the last 4-5 years I've come to depend on the community i lived in to listen to my verbal processing.  so a book that doesn't have ears doesn't  sophist.
i reading a book, listening to advice, doing color therapy (thanks denielley), and spending time with friends who are supposed to make me laugh.
all these things will get me through the next 3 weeks and the month after i get home from our ultra-feminine road-trip.  a 2 1/2 - 3 week vacation won't be bad either.
I'm been going on lots of adventures in my dreams--tr aveling the atmosphere and falling into south america (with Kellie), battling snakes and centipedes (with Kellie), and having dreams inside of dreams where true confessions are spoken.

I'm writing a contract for my time.  i will not over-commit myself.  i will also stick to a budget and save money for a tiny house (Carolyn too).

I took some Well House folks to the zoo.  I told Jose he could climb on mr. john ball and he climbed all the way to the top before i could grab him.  that bugger.

and here's Gabe and Jose decided to go look at the jelly fish and the train--they are so dang fun together
